Detailed Schedule

The South Central Regional Programming Contest was held on November 10-11, 2000 at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. There were 69 teams from 41 schools from Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

This was the first ACM contest hosted by LSU and we are proud to say it was a big success. By all accounts, everyone was pleased with the facilities, quality of the problems and the manner in which the contest was run.

We used the PC2 system from CSUS and are happy to say it worked wonderfully (with a few exceptions on Windows 2000...).

Here are a few comments and observations:

  • The contest consisted of 8 problems with 56 teams solving at least one problem.
  • The top two teams both solved 5 problems.
  • You may view or download the contest problem sets.
  • The contest was delayed by 1 hour due to some technical problems with Windows 2000 and PC2.

You may view the final standings. You can also see a matrix of team submissions by attempts and time (provided by PC2).

At the Awards Banquet, we previewed a short QuickTime video of footage taken throughout the weekend. Check back soon for a web version!

Again Thanks to:
